Water Pollution & Flood Control

As an organization, we always strive to stay up to date when it comes to sustainable innovations.

For this reason, we would like to point out a recent development in decentralized water production, as well as two processes/concepts that have been known for a long time, for which we also see potential for achieving/complementing set goals/projects and therefore express the following maxims for action as recommendations for decision-makers .

1. Cleanliness
Keeping the cycles clean using fewer and ultimately no non-degradable chemicals in cleaning and care products that enter the water cycle and cannot be broken down or filtered (which is a shockingly large number).

2. Reduction in use/development of less aggressive weed and pest control and fertilizer
→ As before, school classes could be activated to collect pests or invested in automation

3. As communities or states pay compensation to traditional spraying farmers.

4. Leave 25 meters of watercourses fallow and ideally renaturalize them.

5. General full utilization of the existing water protection zones.

6. Either find ways to filter microplastics or mandate improvements to processes to prevent decomposition and pollution.

7. To better prevent water-related disasters, both flood and drought, as well as public health in urban areas, we recommend the large-scale removal of partially unnecessary concrete and sidewalks to allow for more planting and to set up extensive seepage areas around the plants to allow for greater seepage and ideally to promote higher absorption into groundwater.
